This Remington manufactured early variation receiver lacking the scope mounting groove is for the model 550-1 semi-auto rimfire rifle and is in very good condition exhibiting a brownish gray patina with light wear and possibly a few specks of surface rust. The receiver is the only part on the model 550-1 rifle that is tracked as a firearm therefore it will need to be transferred through a dealer. Receivers do not qualify as a C&R based on BATFE's guide lines. (file photos)
